The European Union has created various programs aimed to support the development of territories; thanks to the POR FESR 2007/2013 (Objective "Regional competitiveness and employment"), the Marche Region tries to make its cities more attractive improving the accessibility, ensuring an appropriate quality and level of services and protecting the environment and to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and development of knowledge economic through research and development and innovation, new information and communication technologies included.

In the period 2007-2013 the territory will benefit from the resources of the Objective divided in the following priority axes:

2) “Infromation society”
3) “Energy efficiency and promotion of renewable energy”
4) “Accessibility to transportation services”
5) “Valuation of the territory”
6) “Technical assistance”
